Not only was she an exceptional tracking dog, but she also played a crucial role in strengthening the relationship between law enforcement and the community. Nichols was hit hard with heart-wrenching news about his loyal companion just a week ago. Remi was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer that had spread to other parts of her body. Her family showered her with love and affection during her final days, and Nichols was there to hold her as she peacefully passed away early on a Sunday morning.
