Coming across an animal in need is always difficult to witness, and the case of a small dog has captured the attention of people worldwide. The little pooch was discovered on the brink of death, half-starved and abandoned in a garbage pile. Lou Sisk, who found the animal, rescued Missy from the harrowing situation before it was too late.
Dublin Shelter reported that Lou immediately took Missy to the veterinarian, however, the results were disheartening. If left unattended for any longer, Missy would have passed away. She was facing numerous health issues such as scabies and an intense infection. Unfortunately, Missy’s condition was so severe that her uterus had become infected and required surgery to remove it.
Missy had to undergo surgery and although she required several months to heal, she was being well taken care of. However, her condition started to improve as she gained weight and became stronger over time. It didn’t take long before she was deemed fit for a permanent home.
Luckily, it didn’t take much time for her to discover a lovely family to be a part of.
